Ashwick House is a small family-run country house hotel
of high standard, resting in glorious isolation on the south-
eastern edge of the Exmoor National Park, high above the
lush tree clad valleys of the River Barle, and only 4 miles from Dulverton.

Escape the stresses and strains of modern life and relax into the peace and tranquillity of Ashwick House. Doing nothing here is a perfect option but If it is activities you are looking for, Exmoor offers spectacular walks, pony trekking, rock climbing, canoeing, horse riding and water sports.

If your break is romantic, how about a scenic hot air balloon ride or for the enthusiast who fancies a bit of bird watching, there are some 243 species to be found in Exmoor’s varied landscape alongside a wealth of wildlife. For more information on the full range of activities see under Leisure & Activities.

Your hosts, Bob and Barbara Clift, have sympathetically renovated much of the house, using their lifelong interest in the art of the orient to inspire the decorative theme.

To complete the tranquil escape, guests also have use of the library, sumptuously furnished lounge and six acres of lawns, garden and water gardens.
