Exmoor
is our smallest National Park, which makes it extremely accessible. A haven for wildlife and country pursuits, there is something for everyone; walking, riding, hunting, shooting, safari, fishing and even surfing are only ever a short ride away, with plenty of friendly pubs and restaurants to take care of the hunger the fresh air will bring – and don’t forget to indulge in a clotted cream tea! Ashwick House guests are always welcome to relax in the hall, library or lounge and, weather permitting, out on the south-facing terrace or in the garden and water gardens. In addition, we also offer guests a wonderful way to unwind after a day enjoying traditional Exmoor country pursuits - relaxing aromatherapy, Thai massages or Yoga at the hotel. Prior booking is essential. Ashwick House is located at the very centre of exceptional quality shooting, indeed it is within 20-30 minutes drive of some of the best commercial shoots in Europe, and several of which are world class for partridge and pheasant. We can offer shooting parties privacy and exclusivity, fine cuisine and a chance to relax after a day at the gun by arranging either a vigorous Thai or soothing aromatherapy massage.
